In brief

  • Cookieless audience measurement with Matomo on a dedicated server.

  • Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity only with your consent in the cookie banner – withdraw at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

  • No advertising trackers, no social media plugins.

  • Fonts and images are delivered by this website itself, not by third parties.

  • Data from the contact form is used only to answer your enquiry and is not stored on the website. On the contact page, Cloudflare Turnstile protects the form against spam.

Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When a page is requested, the server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested address, amount of data transferred, and browser and operating system. This data is used solely to operate the website securely and reliably (e.g. to fend off attacks) and is stored only as long as necessary for that purpose.

The legal basis is the legitimate interest in operating the website securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; standard contractual clauses of the European Commission are also in place.

Content and images

The content of this website is managed with the content management system Storyblok (Storyblok GmbH, Peter-Behrens-Platz 10, 4020 Linz, Austria). Texts and images are retrieved and delivered by this website's server; your browser does not connect to Storyblok.

Contact form and email

If you use the contact form or send me an email, I process your name, email address, phone number (if provided), the selected topic and your message in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is taking steps prior to entering into a contract or performing a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), otherwise my legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Form enquiries are delivered as email via Google Workspace (Google Cloud EMEA Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) and stored in my mailbox there. Google processes the data as a processor; any transfer to the USA is safeguarded by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. The website itself does not store any form data.

To prevent abuse, your IP address is briefly processed in the server's memory when you submit the form in order to limit the number of enquiries; it is not stored permanently. I keep enquiries as long as needed to handle them and beyond that only where statutory retention obligations apply (e.g. if an engagement results from them).

Spam protection in the contact form (Cloudflare Turnstile)

To protect the contact form against automated submissions, the contact page uses Cloudflare Turnstile from Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Turnstile uses technical characteristics of your browser and device (e.g. IP address, browser type, language and screen settings, and characteristics of the interaction) to check whether the request comes from a human. For this purpose, the data is transmitted to Cloudflare and processed there solely for this purpose. According to Cloudflare, Turnstile does not set cookies and the data is not used for advertising. The script is loaded only on the contact page.

The legal basis is my legitimate interest in protection against abuse and spam (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Details: Turnstile privacy notice.

Cookies and consent

Without your consent, this website sets only one technically necessary cookie: “cc_cookie” stores your cookie banner decision (selected categories, timestamp, revision) for six months. The legal basis is Section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (strictly necessary) in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(c) and (f) GDPR. Further cookies are only set if you consent to the “Statistics” category (see Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity). You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer; withdrawal takes effect for the future and statistics cookies on omsv.at are deleted.

In the preview mode of the content management system, an additional technically necessary cookie is set; this affects logged-in editors exclusively.

Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Tag Manager is a technical container through which statistics services are loaded only after your consent; it sets no cookies itself and does not analyse any data. When it loads, your IP address is technically transmitted to Google. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in managing the services used in line with your consent (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Audience measurement with Matomo (without cookies)

Without consent and without cookies, I measure reach with Matomo: pages viewed, time on site, referrers and general information about device and browser. Matomo sets no cookies, assigns no user ID, records no sessions and truncates the IP address before it is stored. If “Do Not Track” is enabled in your browser, no measurement takes place. The data is stored on a dedicated Matomo server operated by the agency seoCon as a processor and is not passed on to third parties. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in privacy-friendly statistics (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); you can object at any time by email or enable “Do Not Track”.

Google Analytics 4 (only with consent)

If you consent to the “Statistics” category or to Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager loads Google Analytics 4 from Google Ireland Limited (address above). Google Analytics analyses website usage statistically (e.g. page views, time on site, referrers, device) and sets the cookies “_ga” and “_ga_*” (two years each), which distinguish returning visits and sessions. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses; advertising and personalisation features are disabled. A transfer to the USA is possible and safeguarded by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 165(3) TKG 2021).

Microsoft Clarity (only with consent)

If you consent to the “Statistics” category or to Microsoft Clarity, Tag Manager loads Microsoft Clarity from Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. Clarity records clicks, mouse movements and scrolling and creates heatmaps and replays of individual visits so that I can improve the website; input in form fields is masked. Clarity sets the cookies “_clck” (one year) and “_clsk” (one day), and on Microsoft domains additionally “CLID” and “MUID”. A transfer to the USA is possible and safeguarded by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 165(3) TKG 2021).

Links to other websites

Links to LinkedIn, Google Maps or the Austrian register of court experts lead to services of other providers. Data is only transferred once you click such a link; the privacy policy of the respective provider then applies.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing of your data, the right to data portability and the right to object to processing (Art. 15–21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future. Simply contact office@omsv.at.

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at.
